Sarah founded The Old Station Nursery Ltd in 2002 following the birth of her second child and after completing a seven year commission in the Army.  She decided on a change of career after realising that there was a need for childcare provision in her local town of Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Since then the company has gone from strength to strength and now operates 11 nurseries and 2 after school clubs, in Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Rutland and Lincolnshire. The company now employs 200 staff and cares for over a 1000 children in total.  Half of the nurseries are on RAF or Army bases, using the experiences that Sarah gained during her first career to offer a bespoke service to military families as well as children from the local civilian community.
