The Fresh Start Initiative

The Fresh Start programme is a local initiative supporting people from the local community who have caring responsibilities for their children or other family members who are long-term sick or disabled.

Through the Fresh Start programme, carers from the local community can learn the process of enterprise and setting up in business around their caring responsibilities and tasks. Carers often find it difficult to access traditional employment or educational opportunities due to time spent caring for their loved ones or others, frequently over 20 hours a week.
