10-km run

A team of CiB supporters, led by CiB Director Dr Tracey Marr ran a 10-km organised road race in Oxfordshire in May 2006.

100-km challenge

Once again the Smith boys (Ethan, 12; Elliott, 11 and Rohan, 6) gave one week of their summer holidays to undertake a sponsored expedition along 100km of The Ridgeway national trail from Avebury in Wiltshire back to their home in Chinnor, Oxfordshire.  And they had to carry all of their camping gear, food and water for the week!  To read more about their experiences read the Summer 2006 edition of the CiB newsletter.

2005

In August 2005, two school boys Ethan Smith and Elliott Smith raised over £3000 in aid of CiB! The two boys undertook a tremendous challenge, trekking over 50-miles from Stonehenge in Wiltshire to Poole Harbour in Dorset carrying all of their camping gear, food and water with them.

The 50-mile challenge generated fantastic support and a lot of interest from local media, business, family and friends.
